Before joining Channel 3 Tom worked with the NHS, the Department of Health and Ageing in Australia and the Ministry of Health in Singapore across all phases of the project delivery lifecycle. With Accenture, and within industry, he has deployed software modules in large Acute Trusts, worked on national healthcare strategy and developed nationwide healthcare portals. Recently, he was the chief operating officer for a digital healthcare startup providing a “Netflix for doctors” for their continued professional development and helping centres of excellence improve their educational offerings. He was also the Director of Digital Engagement at GSK, where he transformed how GSK conducts clinical trials using digital tools.

Tom is passionate about connecting healthcare data between care settings and how this can enable improved health outcomes at a national level.

Outside of work, Tom is a proud father which has usurped his previous love of playing football and tennis.
